About us

ABC stands for Allevatori Bufalini Casertani – Caserta Buffalo Breeders – we were founded in 1978 in Vitulazio.
At our company premises we carry out the full production process of mozzarella, as farmers have done in our region since time immemorial.
We breed and raise the buffalo, milk them and then produce and sell buffalo mozzarella throughout Italy and overseas.

We have been breeders for generations, and our premises are all in the historical area of Caserta where, for centuries the breed named Bufalo di Fiume has peacefully grazed pastures all over the region. We are keeping alive the age-old tradition of mozzarella production, combining them with the production process innovations of today.

Our prerogative

Our mozzarella is wholly and exclusively made from buffalo milk, in line with tradition dating back to medieval times. It was then that the buffalo tradition began to take root in this very fertile region of Campania and in particular in the province of Caserta.
Mozzarella is therefore historically linked to the buffalo and to the special consistency of its milk.

Buffalo breeders and milk producers of the area got together to form the cooperative at the end of the 70s, both to concentrate on producing mozzarella as well as to exploit their combined experience in this particular agricultural sector.

From the beginning at ABC we have always carefully selected and supervised our workers who - with skill, passion and professionalism – continue to make mozzarella using traditional methods.

ABC especially wishes to thank all those who work in the fields in day-to-day contact with the animals: without them, none of this would be possible.
Making mozzarella begins at dawn every day and without their patience and hard work good mozzarella cheese would never reach all our dining tables.
